School Profile
Our Mission
We seek to form students in Christian faith, wisdom and virtue through a rigorous classical education—helping them grow in knowledge, character, purpose and love for God and neighbor.
Our Vision
Students throughout Oakland, California and the East Bay have access to a K-8 school that educates them holistically, cultivating their formation in harmony with the ways God has made them.
Our Four Pillars
East Bay Classical Academy is being built as a K–8 classical Christian school, beginning in 2028 with kindergarten through 3rd grade and growing over time. The vision for the school has grown around four core commitments: the pillars that define the school we are building.
Christian
Christ at the Center. Christian faith formation is foundational to the school's vision.
Classical
Wisdom + virtue. Education should form the mind and character, not simply transfer information.
Equal Access
Excellence Without Exclusivity. Excellent, Christ-centered education should be accessible to families across a broad range of economic backgrounds.
Digital Discipleship
Technology Should Serve Childhood—not Shape It. Students need intentional formation around attention, relationships, imagination and technology.
Our Logo
A Key to a Faithful Future
Our key represents the kind of education we're building: one that unlocks opportunity, cultivates wisdom and opens the way toward a faithful and flourishing life.
Rooted in the biblical image of Christ as the Key of David, the cross within the key reminds us that Christ is at the center of our work (Isaiah 22:22).
It also represents our commitment to access. We believe an excellent education can unlock possibilities that should be available to more children.
